Charlene R. Landis

Charlene R. Landis, 77, of Middletown, died on Monday, November 21, 2005, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Middletown, April 26, 1928 to parents Charles D. and Ethel (Boyer) Margerum.

Ms. Landis was a registered nurse, graduating from Mercy Hospital in Hamilton in 1949. She loved working with, and helping people. She worked for the Middletown public health system for six years and was a nurse for O.W. Hoffman, MD for 29 years. She was an avid bowler.

She is survived by one brother: Jerry (Wanda) Margerum of Middletown, five nieces; Linda (Gene) Geisler, Shiela (Steve) Berger, Shana (Lee) Shepherd, Ann (Eric) Rich and Deborah (Jim) Gagne; three nephews, Charles D. (Sue) Margerum, Dane (Debby) Margerum and Jon (Karen) Lambert, special friend, Marilyn Zeck and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles L. Margerum.

Charlene’s family wishes to thank The Residence at Kensington Place staff for their loving care.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., with Deacon Tom Coyle officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 9 - 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Charity of Choice.
