Charles "Bob" Cochran

Charles R. “Bob” Cochran passed away peacefully at home on Sunday April 3, 2005, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on July 30, 1932 in Middletown and graduated from Middletown High School in 1950. He served in the Naval Reserves and served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed his family and building model ships after his retirement from AK Steel after 42 years. Bob was a member of Holy Family Parish, Life Member of the VFW Post 3809, American Legion Post 218, and Middletown Moose Lodge 501.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Lois J. (Adams) Cochran, Children Debra (Larry) Klamo of Middletown, Mike (Debbie) Cochran of Landen, Terri Cochran of Middletown, Steve (Michelle) Cochran of Harveysburg, and Beth (Jerry) Horn of Middletown. Grandchildren Abby (Scott) Sexton, Tracy (Eric) Clauss, Tom Cranfill, Kellin Cochran, Monika Weinacht, Matt Cochran, Jake Cochran, Nathan Stoffer, Shelby Horn, Casey Cochran, and Rachel Cochran, and special family friend Marty Rutherford. He is also survived by sisters Estelle Wilch and Pat Keister of Florida and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles P. and Sally (Walker) Cochran, infant brother Billy, and grandsons Otto Weinacht and William Cochran.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday April 6, 2005 at 10 AM at St. John’s Church with Msgr. Paul Metzger as celebrant. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (At Bonita Dr.). Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 105 McKnight Dr. Middletown, Ohio 45044, Hospice of Dayton 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, Ohio 45420, or charity of donor’s choice.
