Charles D. Perkins, 67, of Middletown, Ohio, died at his residence, Friday, May 21, 2004 after a long illness. He was born in Adele, Kentucky on August 22, 1936 to parents William E.”Elzie” and Ada (Vest) Perkins, Sr.

Mr. Perkins retired from Chrysler as a master mechanic after 30 years of service. He was a member of I.U.E. local 775. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957, Touring Germany while Germany was still under occupancy. Mr. Perkins was a 32nd Mason, Jr., Sr., Warden, Master, the Blue Lodge at Pieratt #725 in Lee City Kentucky. He was also a member of the 32nd Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, William S. Roof in Franklin, Ohio, Chapter 136 in Middletown, Sir Knight in commanding # 71 Middletown, and past president of the Dayton Cooperative Credit Union.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Imogene and Norma Perkins.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Sylvia Karen (Lindon) Perkins of Middletown; one daughter: Mary Caroline (Matthew) Siler of Middletown, OH; two sons: Sterling Douglas Perkins of Middletown, OH, Charles Gregory Perkins of Kettering, OH; two sisters: Betty (Vernon) Nickell of New Lebanon, OH, Crystal Perkins of Nashville, TN; five brothers: James E. (Janice) Perkins of Anaheim, CA, William E. (Lima) Perkins of Scottsdale, AZ, Henry Ray (Dorothy) Perkins of West Liberty, KY, Kennith (Erma) Perkins of Cannel City, KY, Johnny L. (Pat) Perkins of Dayton, OH; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Margery (Orville) Wells of Franklin; two precious granddaughters, Abigail Lindon and Adrianna Caryn; and dear friend Paul (Francis) Alexander of Preble County, OH.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Towne Blvd. Church Of God, Middleton, OH with Pastor Frank Curtis officiating. Visitation will be Monday, May 24, 2004 from 5-8 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

Memorial donations be made to Middletown Christian Schools 3011 N. Union Road, Middletown, OH.
