Charles E. Bryant, 88, of Hamilton, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton on June 19, 1925 to parents Andrew and Ethel (Seaman) Bryant.
Charlie worked as a tool & die welder for General Motors for 35 years, retiring in 1987. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and served as a member of the USS WASP group. He was a member & past commander of V.F.W. Post #7670 in Hamilton, member & past worshipful master of Samaritan F & A M Lodge #105 in Marion, Indiana, member of York Rite and member of Knights Templar #21 in Gas City, Indiana.
Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife, Jean Bryant; daughters, Carolyn Beal, Connie (James) Hilgeman, Peggy (James) Shipley & Stacy George; step son, Donald (Diane) Ediskey; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Melvin Bryant & Everett Bryant; and sister, Emma Little.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 10:30 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Chaplain Larry Davis officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 pm and Saturday prior to the service from 9:30 - 10:30 am. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Hamilton/Overpeck VFW Honor Guard.
Memorial donations may be made to Hamilton Assembly of God, 1940 West Elkton Rd., Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
