Charles E. Wilson, 77, of Middletown, died Tuesday, November 11, 2003, at Kensington Place. He was born in Lebanon, Ohio on April 18, 1926 to parents Frank and Marjorie (Whetzel) Wilson.
Charles worked as a roller for Armco Steel Corp. in the Hot Strip for 37 years, retiring in 1986. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, R.C. Irene (Lakins) Wilson of Middletown; two daughters, Luana Wilson of Mason, OH, and Kathryn (Robert) Lathey of Monroe, OH; one son, Thomas Wilson of Middletown, OH; one sister, Ruth Ann Mosie of Springfield, OH; three grandchildren, Kelly Griffin, Traci Carr, and Jonathon Lathey; and three great grandchildren, Ivy Crank, Caitlin Carr, and Kelstin Griffin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Timothy Wilson; and a brother, Robert Wilson.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 13, 2003 at 12:00 Noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr. Visitation will be Thursday, prior to the service from 11-12:00 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
Because of Charles’ love of animals, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Animal Friends Humane Society, 5225 Trenton Rd., Trenton, OH 45067.
