Charles M. Stone Sr.

Charles M. Stone, Sr., 78, of Middletown, went to be with his Savior on Monday, January 2, 2017, at Dayton V.A. Medical Center. He was born in Middletown on October 8, 1938 to parents Guy E. and M. Zelda (Broughton) Stone.

Charles retired from Armco Steel Corp. He served his country in the United States Air Force, was former president of Middletown FOPA Lodge #2 and former president of Middletown REACT, was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and was a member of Poasttown First Church of God. Charles had been resident manager of Elmgrove Apartments for several years.

Mr. Stone was blessed with loving family, good friends & precious neighbors. He will be greatly missed by his wife Carolyn (Green) Stone; children, Charles M. (Cindy) Stone II, Kelly Joe (Jennifer) Stone, Robyn (Jon) Rawlins, Mark (Jodi) Cupp & Rosanna (Jerry) Cupp; brother, Guy E. (Jackie) Stone II; grandchildren, Mike Stone, Samantha Turner, Mark Aaron Cupp, Kelsey Stone, Tara Cupp, Ryun Rawlins, Lanie Rawlins, Joshua Sams, Samantha Bice & Heather Kiser; 14 great grandchildren; and a special cousin, Zelda Pemberton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bill Stone, Robert Stone & Jerry Stone.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Kenny Brewer and Pastor Chris Tannreuther officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and prior to the service from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
