Charles Marvin Gardner, 82, of Trenton, died Monday, March 21, 2011, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Camden on May 12, 1928 to parents Myron and Mary (Favinger) Gardner.
Charles was a graduate of Miami University and worked as a manager of data processing for Sorg Paper Company. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Gardner is survived by his wife, Helen (Sturgill) Gardner; children, Sharon Bartels & Mike (Carolyn) Clark; brother, Rev. Dr. Larry Gardner; three grandchildren, Joseph (Patrie) Clark, Jessica (Zachary) Wertz & Sarah Clark; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 25, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 11:00 - 12:00 noon. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 311 North Miami St., Trenton, Ohio 45067.
