Charles R. Gallion

Charles R. 'Chuck' Gallion, 66, of Middletown, died Monday, March 15, 2004, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Ashland, Kentucky on July 2, 1937 to parents Edgar Gallion and Phoebe (Nelson) Miller.

Chuck worked as an electrical engineer for AK Steel and Randers Engineering in Mason. He served his country in the United States Navy.

Mr. Gallion is survived by his wife, Shelley (Lerch) Gallion; two sons, Charles Gallion, Jr. of Tallahassee, FL, and Thomas Gallion of Columbus, OH; three daughters, Diane (Robert) Skinner of Delaware, OH, Deborah Gallion of Raleigh, NC, and Ruth (Michael) Greenwood of Virginia Beach, VA; four step children, Holly (George) Mattei of Columbus, OH, Patrick (Vickie) Bierce of Mt. Gilead, OH, Jeff (Sherrie) Bierce of Riverside, CA, and Dale (Martha) Bierce of Eugene, OR; three sisters, Linda (Haven) Wallace of Lancaster, OH, Vonda (Russell) White of Crawford, TN, and Darlene Kelly of TX; one brother: Robert Edward (Vickie) Miller of Athens, OH; ; grandchildren, Jared & Ryan Skinner, Taylor Gallion, Michael & Kyle Greenwood; and step grandchildren, Amy, Jeremy, Benjamin, Bryan, Kelli, Tyler, & Alyssa Bierce.

He was preceded in death by Alice Gallion; his parents; a brother, Eugene Gallion; and step father, Edward Miller.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 18, 2004 at 2:30 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., with Reverend David Chivington officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 17, 2004 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
