Charles S. Hatton, 67, of Middletown, died Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Campton, Kentucky on December 22, 1940 to parents George and Tina (Elkins) Hatton.
Charles worked for Armco Steel Corporation for 41 years, retiring in 2004 and had served in the National Guard during Vietnam. He attended Breiel Blvd. Church of God and had delivered Meals On Wheels for the Senior Citizens Center. He visited the YMCA every morning and enjoyed walking his dog at Smith Park each day.
Mr. Hatton is survived by his daughter, Christina ( Mario) Bonventre; granddaughter, Sophia Bonventre; brothers, Jerry (Susan) Hatton, George (Carol) Hatton and Larry (Wanita) Hatton; sisters, Marcella (William) Donahue and Wilma Alexander; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Benji.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, Oct. 6, 2008 at 11:00 am at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Dr. Eric Newell officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008 from 3:00 to 5:00pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
