Chester Selby

Chester L. Selby, 63, of Middletown, died Monday, April 6, 2009, at Kensington Place. He was born in Middletown on July 6, 1945 to parents Charles and Bethel (Morrison) Selby.

Mr. Selby worked in maintenance for Armco Steel Corportation for 30 years and following his retirement he worked for Weatherwax Golf Course for 9 years.

Chester is survived by his wife of 43 years, Arlene (Andre) Selby; son, Michael Selby; daughter, Deborah (Michael) Cox; brothers, Charles (Vickie) Selby, Kenneth (Peggy) Selby and Michael (Myra) Selby; grandchildren, Katy, Elly & Hayden Cox; and numerous nieces, nephews & other loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to Dr. Mary Ellen Gaeke, Hospice Care of Middletown and the staff of Kensington Place.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, April 10, 2009 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, with a Memorial Service at 7:00 pm with Father John Civille officiating.
