Chester V. MacDonald, 91, of Carlisle, passed away on May 18, 2004, at Garden Manor Extended Care Center. He was born in Middletown, on December 7, 1912 to parents Vernon and Olive (Diver) McDonald.
Chester was a great-grandson of Daniel Doty. He was a retired Greyhound Bus driver.
Mr. MacDonald is survived by his son: Barry (Rita) MacDonald of Centerville; step sons, Jim Pleak of Monroe, and Robin (Wanda) Pleak of Sun Lakes, AZ; a grandson, Michael (Lori) MacDonald of Marietta, GA; three great grandchildren, Emily, Brian, & Rachel; sister-in-law, Estelle McDonald of Otterbein-Lebanon; niece, Kathy Walters of Germantown; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Violet (Stamper) MacDonald on October 5, 1997; his parents; brothers, Wayne & Lee McDonald; and sisters, Leona Baker and Jeannette Marincik.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 24, 2004 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., with Reverend Howard Sears officiating. There will be no visitation. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Gratis Township.
