Clarence L. Collinsworth, 70, of Middletown, died on March 4, 2007, at his residence. He was born in Middletown, on June 26, 1936 to parents Coodie Clarence and Ina Wynona (Gaskins) Collinsworth.
Mr. Collinsworth worked for Armco Steel Corporation for over 31 years, retiring in June 1994, and was former president of C.A.R.E. He was a member of Miltonville Baptist Church and ACE Car Club, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Clarence is survived by one daughter, Tina (David) Pryor of Middletown; two sons, Tony Collinsworth and Jeffrey Collinsworth, both of Middletown; one sister, Sylvia Tolson of Middletown; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Collinsworth, Michael Collinsworth, Dustin Collinsworth, Adam Collinsworth, Tony Collinsworth, Chris Collinsworth, Jeremy Caudill, and Jessica Gingerich; and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred (Gayhart) Collinsworth in 1998; and his parents.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 9, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), with Reverend Eric Brazelton officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 218 Honor Guard. Family and Friends are welcome to gather with the family at Miltonville Baptist Church, 4475 Elk Creek Rd., following the services.
