Claude "Bud" Russell, 80, of Monroe, died on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Ohio's Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Hazard, Kentucky on May 14, 1941 to parents, David and Mabel (Hurt) Russell.
Bud had worked as a manufacturing technician for Chrysler, retiring after 30 years with the company. He is a veteran of the United States Navy. Bud attended Bible Methodist Church, liked to read and being outdoors. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Russell is survived by his wife, Thelma (Pelfrey) Russell; sons, Dan (Valerie) Russell & Scott (Dina) Russell; brother, Richard (Margaret) Russell; sisters, Sue Karatz, Vivian (Ron) Estepp, Blanche (Bobby) Caudill, Linda (Marvin) Combs & Ruth (Vernon) Slone; grandchildren, Brett (Taylor) Russell, Brittani (Chris) Specht, Braedan Russell, Bradley Russell & Deja Russell; great grandchildren, Tatum Russell, and soon to arrive, Ava Leigh Specht; as well as many other loving family & friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol Smith; and brother-in-law, Ralph Smith.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 11:00 am to1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown with military honors being presented. A Graveside Service will be Monday, July 19, 2021 at 12:00 noon at the Russell Family Cemetery in Lotts Creek, Kentucky.
