Clifford P. Schroff, 82, of Middletown, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Royal Oak, Michigan to parents Paul and Florence Schroff.
Mr. Schroff worked for McGraw Construction as a mechanical engineer for 42 years, retiring in 1982. He served his country in the Army during both World War II. Clifford was a member of the American Legion Post 218, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9927 in Kettering, Centerville Masonic Lodge #648 in North Syracuse, New York, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite-Valley of Syracuse, Moslem Temple Shrine in Detroit, Michigan, the Hamilton Shrine Club and the Preble County Shrine Club.
Clifford is survived by his wife Audrey (Wesselman) Schroff of Middletown; daughter Candice Slough of Middletown; stepdaughter Amy (Tom) Ernest of Marietta, Georgia; sister Genevieve Holm of Birmingham, Michigan; granddaughter Megan Slough; and step grandchildren Spencer, Morgan, and Lauren Ernest.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Nettie L. Schroff in 1967; his parents; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
Rev. William Rathman will officiate the funeral service. Jefferson Lodge #90 F. & A. M. will have a masonic service Friday at 7:30 PM. Graveside military honors provided by American Legion Post 218 Honor Guard.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
