Clyde Paul Hollon, 92 of Middletown died on Saturday afternoon at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Antigo, Wisconsin on July 2, 1911 to Elijah and Bertha (Huff) Hollon.
Mr. Hollon worked at ARMCO for 35 years, he retired in 1968, he was a senior melter at # 1 open hearth .He was a member of Holy Family Parish, and had been a member of the K of C # 1610, he was an avid bowler, softball pitcher for the ARMCO industrial league and the City of Middletown League.
He is survived by a son Dr. Fred ( Karen) Hollon, Spokane, WA, two daughters Patti A. Brown, Middletown; and Kathy Hollon, Lake Forest, Ca.; a brother Clarence “Woody” (Lucille) Hollon, Middletown; a sister Edna Donisi, Middletown; ten grandchildren: Greg Kirby, Loraine, Oh; David Brown, Marblehead, Oh; Kevin Brown, Middletown; Paula Brown, Middletown; Dr. Matt Hollon, Seattle, Wa.; Greg Hollon, Seattle, Wa.; Fred Winemiller, Westminster, Ca.; Eric Winemiller, Scottsdale, Az; Rhonda Rupel, Oxford, Oh; Carl Hollon, Monroe, and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Frances Hollon in 1984, his parents, a son Ronald Hollon, a grandson Doug Hollon, a brother Clayton Hollon and a sister Edith Dirksen.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish-Holy Trinity Church, with Monsignor Paul Metzger officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr. Interment at Woodside Cemetery.
