Critt Douglas Jones went to be with the Lord at the age of 52 on Saturday June 15th 2024 at Atrium Medical Center following a battle with cancer.
Critt was born on August 6th, 1971, in Middletown Ohio to Raymond "Jimmy" Jones and Alice Louise Jones (Gross). He grew up with 4 siblings, Jimmy, Joe, Bill, & Dorothy. He was employed by Stein, TMS International as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Critt was a member of IUOE (International Union of Operating Engineers) Local 18.
Critt enjoyed being outdoors, a good cup of coffee and spending time with his family. Most days you could find him taking in one of his favorite westerns, The Rifleman, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Wells Fargo or Cheyenne Bodie. If you ever needed a hand, Critt was always there to help. He never asked for anything in return. He could keep you captive with the way in which he told a story. His impersonations were the best! He made the story come to life and I know he will never be forgotten for this and so much more.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond "Jimmy" Jones and brother-in-law, John S. Gayhart. Critt is survived by his wife and partner of 25 years, Emily Marie Jones (Allen); his four children, Kelsey Jones of Trenton OH, David Jones (Erika) of Jacksboro TN, Alexandria Jones and Taylor Jones of Middletown OH; his mother, Alice Jones of Middletown. He is also survived by 3 brothers, James (Cindy) of Middletown OH, Joseph of Middletown OH, William (Cindy) of Franklin OH; and 1 sister, Dorothy Gayhart of Lebanon OH. Critt is survived by 7 grandchildren, MaKenna, Mia, Keylin, Khennon, Quincy, Owen, and Lucas; 14 nieces and nephews, Christa Hall-Iniguez, Aryn Jones, Thomas Jones, Steven Jones, Justin Jones, Adam Jones, Javan Jones, Hayley Jones, Kennedy Jones, Bradley Tuttle, Benjamin Tuttle, Gage Smith, Easton and Cortland Spreckelmeier; as well as a large extended family.
The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff at Dayton Physicians Network and Dr. Radhika Rajsheker for the care and kindness shown to Critt during his treatment.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 26th from 6-8:00 pm at the Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH 45044 (at Bonita Drive). Funeral Services will be on Thursday, June 27th at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Lamb officiating. Interment will follow at Woodside Cemetery.
