Curtis "Buck" Gardner, 86, of Middletown, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Brookwood Retirement Community. He was born in Cincinnati on March 12, 1927.
Buck worked in the stores & spares department at Armco Steel Corp. for 20 years, retiring in 1982. He had previously worked at Aeronca. He was a founder of the Armco Coin Club & the Middletown Coin Club, was a member of the Miami Valley Umpires Association and was a Kentucky Colonel. Buck loved to fish, was an avid UK Basketball fan and adored his grandkids.
Mr. Gardner is survived by his son, Jeffery (Becky) Gardner; daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Agoston; grandchildren, Emily Gardner, Katie Agoston & Chris Agoston; and his beloved dachshund, Oscar.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lois Gardner, mother, Margaret Gardner and mother-in-law, Edna Schultz.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Dr. Kenneth Atchison officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the New Hope Animal Rescue, 11734 Conrey Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45249.
