Dale Draut

Dale Draut, 76, of Monroe, died Sunday, December 22, 2013, at his residence. He was born in Middletown on August 26, 1937 to parents Harold and Effie (Williams) Draut.

Dale worked in the offices of Armco / AK Steel retiring in 1991. He played with the Armco Golf League, Armco Softball League & Armco Bowling League. He was a softball coach, volunteered with and hosted foreign exchange students & volunteered with Youth For Understanding. He also owned & operated Lemstone Christian Bookstore in the Tri-County Mall.

Mr. Draut is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Shatto) Draut; children, Greg (Melinda) Dennis, Jeff (Marda) Dennis & Cyndi (Don) Fannin; grandchildren, Zachary, Lucas, Noah & Andrew; great grandchildren, Liam & Ava; and nephew & nieces, Wes, Cheryl & Gail.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold Draut; and granddaughter, Faith.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Mary Ellen Gaeke and her staff and to the staff of Hospice Care of Middletown.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home., 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Mitchel Burch officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 12:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
