Dan Fink, 73, of Middletown, died Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Middletown on May 23, 1943 to parents Clement A. and Anne L. (Miller) Fink.
Dan worked as a crane operator in the rigger shop at Armco/AK Steel Corp for 30 years, retiring in 2001. He served his country in the United States Army for six years, his second enlistment during Vietnam. He was an active member in the twelve-step program, dedicated to helping others gain and maintain sobriety through a God of his understanding. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and enjoyed his yearly trips to Florida with his wife.
Mr. Fink is survived by his wife, Ellen (Pummill) Fink; sons, Chad A. (Annette) Haynie, Jimmy Johnson, Johnny Johnson & Joseph Haynie; sisters, Judy (Ronald) May & Becky Rivera; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deanna Fink; parents; brothers, Tom A. Fink & Terry Fink; and one granddaughter.
Prayer Service will be held Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Father John Civille officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by Hamilton DAV Chapter 15 Honor Guard.
