Daniel Edward Caserta

Daniel Edward Caserta, 51, of Trenton, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017. He was born in Middletown on March 25, 1965 to parents Vincent A. and Patricia L. (Caulfield) Caserta.

Daniel had his journeyman electrician license and had worked for AK Steel for 28 years, most recently in electronic repair. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and was a 2nd degree member of Knights of Columbus #1610 in Middletown. Daniel was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, loved to listen to live music and going camping.

He loved his family and will be greatly missed by his wife, Diana C. (Empey) Caserta; children, Alicia (Brian) Craycraft & Zachary (Brittany) Caserta; grandchildren, who he liked to call "his little friends" Brooklyn Grace Craycraft, Hannah Linn Craycraft, and looking forward to the new addition of Baby Caserta; brothers & sisters, David (Theresa) Caserta, Douglas (Denise) Caserta, Julie Anne (Edward) Broyles & Kathleen (Blake) Brown; mother-in-law, Mary Empey; brother-in-law, Barry Hamill; as well as many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Merton Empey.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father Paul Gebhardt and Father Charles Caserta as celebrants. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
