Darlene Mae Taylor, 83, of Wayne Township, died Friday, March 15, 2013, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Middletown, on May 15, 1929 to parents Wilson and Anna (Gentry) Williams.
Mrs. Taylor graduated from Monroe High School. She married Robert Taylor on September 28, 1948. Mr. Taylor died December 26, 1997. Darlene was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Wayne Township. She was very proud of her service with the Middletown Regional Hospital Auxiliary and was also a Victim's Advocate for the Butler County Court System in Middletown. She was a good mother and loved her family dearly.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her three sons, Bill (Pam) Taylor, Tim (Lisa) Taylor and Darrell (Lynn) Taylor; brothers, Rolly (Carmita) Williams, Willis (Becky) Williams and Ted (Lynn) Williams; 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a great grandson due in May; friends, Dan & Patsy Woodrome; and special friend, Delores.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert Taylor (12/26/1997); brothers, Donald, Oney and Charlie Williams and daughter-in-law, Tammy Taylor.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Dan Woodrome officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Gratis.
