David E. Chupka, 78, of Middletown, died Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant. He was born in Middletown on September 11, 1938 to parents August F. and Anna (Dulac) Chupka.
David graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School in 1956 and then attended Miami University. He worked as a research engineer for Black Clawson for 46 years, where he was responsible for numerous patents in the paper industry, and retired in 2002. He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the VFW Post #3809. He played for the Armco Ingots who won the National Knothole Tournament Class A in 1953.
Mr. Chupka is survived by his wife, Connie L. (Neal) Chupka; sons, Greg Chupka & Tim Chupka; brother, Phil (Stephane) Chupka; sister, Ruth Ann (Jack) Wills; brother-in-law, John P. Neal; 3 nephews and 1 niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, August F. Chupka Jr.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with entombment at the Woodside Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Ohio Living Mount Pleasant Life Care Fund, 225 Britton Lane, Monroe, OH 45050.
