David H. Shipley

David H. Shipley, 70, of Middletown, died Monday, April 11, 2011, at his residence. He was born in Dandridge, Tennessee on September 12, 1940 to parents William and Mary (Russell) Shipley.

Dave worked as a Real Estate agent. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of American Legion Post 218. He was an amateur radio operator, call sign KF8II.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dave is survived by his wife Peggy A. Shipley, numerous step-children and grandchildren; one brother Ralph (Judy) Taylor Shipley, two nephews and one niece.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home with Chaplain Lois Allen officiating.
