David Shockey

David R. Shockey, 61, of Trenton, died Saturday May 3, 2003 at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Middletown on August 6, 1941 to parents Robert and Ann (Kennedy) Shockey.

David worked for AK Steel in sales for 35 years. He was an avid golfer, he enjoyed spending time with his family and he was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. David was a graduate of Monroe High School and Findlay University where he played basketball.

He is survived by his wife Joyce (Kelhoffer) Shockey of Trenton, two sons; David Shockey Jr. and his fiancée Katrina Bower of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Sam (Kimberli) Shockey of Mason, Ohio, and a daughter Susie (Lance) Green of Hamilton, Ohio. David is also survived by his sister Sandra (Gerald) Saunders of Lebanon, Ohio, and several nieces and a nephew.

David was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday May 6, 2003 at 10am at Holy Name Catholic Church in Trenton with the Father George Klein as celebrant. Visitation will be held Monday May 5, 2003 from 6 to 8 pm at the Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr.
Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
