Dean King Phillips, Jr., 74, of Middletown, died Sunday, February 13, 2011, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Middletown on August 24, 1936 to parents Dean King and Phyllis (Peters) Phillips Sr..
Dean worked for Moon Equipment in Cincinnati then was vice-president of BAC Ram Air in Houston, Texas for 15 years before moving back to Middletown. He served in the United States Air Force, was a member of the Middletown Tennis Club and Browns Run Country Club and was a grandson of R.C. Phillips, the co-founder of Armco Steel Corp.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife, Edie (Moon) Phillips; sons, Henry (Joan) Phillips and Dean Phillips III; daughter, Sally (Ken) Willis; grandsons, Philip & Adam Hartman; uncle, Ralph (Jean) Peters; cousin, Marsha Peters; and his beloved friend, his basset hound, Rosie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jeffery Phillips.
Services will be held at a later date.
