Deborah A. Jones Henderson

Deborah A. Jones Henderson, 61, of Middletown, died Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Middletown on March 17, 1954 to parents Arthur and Margaret J. (Clapp) Jones.

Debbie was a special education teacher for 35 years, locally teaching at Franklin and substitute teaching at Middletown and then taught in Aiken, South Carolina, retiring from teaching, a job that she loved, in 2012. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Middletown where she was a deacon and played in the hand-bell choir. One of her interests was genealogy.

Debbie is survived by her daughter, Kim Herold; sons, Aaron Herold & Adam Herold; father, Arthur Jones; sister, Linda Carol Jones; nephew, Sam Ferguson; and niece, Audrey Ferguson.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joy Jones; and sister, Susan D. Mize.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 7, 2015 at 1:30 pm at First Baptist Church Of Middletown, 4500 Riverview Drive, Middletown with Reverend Ken Fey and Pastor Mebane McMahon officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:30 - 1:30 pm at church. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
