Delmas Baker, 79, of Middletown, died Friday, March 28, 2008, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Powhatan Point, on November 9, 1928 to parents Ernest and Rebecca (Bellville) Baker, and was raised in the O.S. & S.O. Home in Xenia.
Mr. Baker worked for Black Clawson as a shipping clerk, retiring in 1978 after over 22 years. He served his country in the United States Air Force for 3 years in Germany.
Mr. Baker is survived by sisters-in-law, Weltha Baker and Guita Baker; many nieces & nephews; and special friend and caregiver, James G. Cole.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elsie; and brothers, Harry W., Howard E., Homer W., and Russell C. Baker.
His long suffering against a multitude of health challenges is over and he is at peace once and forever.
Following cremation, services will be held in Powhatan Point at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be at the Powhatan Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
