Denise L. Downing

Denise L. Downing, age 57, of Middletown, passed away on October 31, 2019. She was born on December 25, 1961 at Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, the daughter of the late Willye Downing and Betty (Hickman) Downing.

She received her Bachelor’s Degree and was employed for over 31 years with Miami University, Oxford Campus, as a Library Technician. Denise was an avid reader, with a special fondness for mystery novels. She also loved to watch movies and cheer on her beloved Cincinnati Bengals.

Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted mother, Betty Downing; her loving brother, Micheal (Angela Mescher) Downing; her dear nephews, Christopher McFadden, Eric Downing, Colin Downing and Samuel Downing; her aunt, Nancy Hickman; her uncle, William Hickman, Jr.; and her cousins , Teri Wolfolk and Tina Nelms.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willye Downing.

A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at 4pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd, Middletown. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the funeral home.
