Densmore M. Brewer

Densmore M. "Denny" Brewer, 79, of Middletown, died Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Wolfe County, Kentucky, on February 12, 1923 to parents Carl and Hala (Wells) Brewer.

Denny worked as a tool and die maker for General Motors for 40 years, retiring in 1985. He was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborn during World War II. He was a member of Jefferson Lodge #90 F. & A.M.; Antioch Shrine; American Legion Post 218; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3809; Disabled American Veterans #131; Loyal Order of Moose #501; and Middletown Elks #257. Denny was an avid card player, loved gardening, music, and politics.

Mr. Brewer is survived by his wife Donna Winner-Brewer of Middletown; a son Kenneth (Jeanie) Brewer of Fairfield; four daughters Teresa (John) Sawyer of Middletown, Barbara (Michael) Simmons of Tampa, Florida, Sonia (Kevin) O'Neill of Shaker Heights, OH, and Pamela (Michael) Winner-Bockoven of Washington Township, OH; and ten grandchildren, Lindsay Brewer, Johnny Sawyer, Nicholes Bockoven, Kristin Sawyer, Samuel Bockoven, Dylan O'Neill, Katherin O'Neill, Olivia Simmons, Alexandra Simmons, and Max Bockoven.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Marie Brewer in 1986; his parents; and four brothers Ralph, Rexford, Chalmer, and Elmer Brewer.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 19, 2002 at 12:00 noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. with Rev. Randy Wallace officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service Thursday from 11:00 - noon. Interment will be at Heritage Hill Memorial Gardens.
