Dixie Jane Helman Davis

Dixie Jane Helman Davis, 88, of Trenton, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Bloomer, Ohio on February 8, 1928 to parents James Russell and Nellie (Rudy) Helman.

Dixie had worked as a sales clerk for Pogue's Department Store and then as a secretary for the American Cancer Society, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Jack E. Davis; children, David (Mary) Davis, Jeff (Diana) Davis, Kelly (Curt) Short, Michael Davis & Eric (Christine) Davis; sister, Iris Murtaugh; brother-in-law, Charles Davis; grandchildren, Ryan, Libby, Katie, Ashley, Samantha & Kacey; and great grandchildren, Wyatt & Regan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Magdalene Martin, Virginia Nuessgen, Eileen Daniel & Evelyn Rose Helman.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at Mt. Olivet United Presbyterian Church, 509 West State St., Trenton with Reverend Jerry Pitman officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the church. Interment will be at The Highland Association Cemetery in Covington, Ohio. The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 2:30 – 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mt. Olivet United Presbyterian Church, 509 West State St., Trenton, Ohio 45067.
