Dominic E. 'Doc' Sweeney

Dominic E. "Doc" Sweeney, 62, of Monroe, died Friday, March 7, 2008, at the VA Hospital of Cincinnati. He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on September 24, 1945 to parents Daniel J. and Margaret Mary (Walker) Sweeney.

Doc served his country in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. He was a member of Solid Rock Church, where he served as a greeter.

Mr. Sweeney is survived by his wife, Barbara (Lawson) Sweeney; a sister, Tina Riedinger; and two brothers, David Sweeney and Dennis Sweeney.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Daniel Sweeney.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 12:00 NOON at Solid Rock Church with Pastor Lawrence Bishop officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 - 12:00 NOON at the church. Military honors will be presented by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
