Donald E. Brunswick

Donald E. Brunswick, known to his friends as "Good Natured Don" 89, of Madison Township, died Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Mt. Pleasant Place, Monroe, Ohio. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 9, 1926 to parents William Henry and Elizabeth (Tieman) Brunswick.

Don worked as an engineer for Armco Steel Corp for 30 years, retiring as a supervisor in 1986. He served his county with the Merchant Marines during World War II and as a radio operator with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He had enjoyed living on a farm for over 30 years. In his younger years, Don enjoyed playing golf and in more recent years playing bridge & poker.

Mr. Brunswick is survived by his children, Donna (Mark) Steinmetz, Lois (David) LeBlanc, John (Sheila) Brunswick, Linda (Mark) Moore & George (Dantzler) Brunswick; and grandchildren, Janice, Donald, Justin, Carolyn, Michelle, Nathan, Robert & Catherine.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rita Brunswick; second wife, Patricia Brunswick; parents; sister, Ora; and brothers, Robert, Louis & Eugene.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11:00 am at Monroe United Methodist Church, 206 East Ave., Monroe with Reverend Joel Harbarger officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Beech Acres Parenting Center, Office of Development, 6881 Beechmont Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45230 – OR - Mt. Pleasant Life Care Fund, 225 Britton Lane, Monroe, OH 45050.
