Donald R. Fulmer, 84, of Middletown, died Sunday, June 29, 2003 at Middletown Regional Hospital. Donald was born in Middletown on March 28, 1919 to Russell and Nellie (Herdon) Fulmer.
He served his country in WWII with the U.S. Army. Donald later worked for Armco Steel in the Sales and Services Dept. for 35 years until retiring in 1981. Donald was a member of Holy Family Parish- St. John’s, the Knights of Columbus # 1610, and the American Legion Post #218.
He is survived by one son, Michael (Patricia) Fulmer of Middletown; two daughters, Bonnie (Chris) Carberry and Peggy ( Eddie) Runnells both of Middletown; two sisters, Dorothy Schneider of Cinn., and Barbara Miller of Bradenton, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Eileen ( Mulhall) Fulmer; and his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at Holy Family Parish – St.John’s Chapel at 10:a.m., with Rev. Jeff Fulmer as Celebrant. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 218. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2003 from 5-8p.m. at Wilson Schramm Spaulding Funeral Home, Inc., 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita.
