Donald R. Specht, 88, of Miamisburg, died Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Sycamore Glen Health Center. He was born in Trenton, Ohio, on December 15, 1929 to parents Harry and Judith (Willsey) Specht.
Donald served his country in the United States Army during the Korean war. He worked as a foreman for Crystal Tissue for 30 years, retiring in 1988. He was an avid bowler, but also enjoyed gardening, crafts and puzzles. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Franklin.
Mr. Specht is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Shupert) Specht; son, Robert (Bonnie) Specht; daughter, Karen (Borchers) Maze; grandchildren, Jason Specht, Jeffrey Specht, & Kathy Maze Foley; great grandchildren, Juliana, Alexandrea, Keira, Johnathan, Ryan, & Lincoln, and many loving nieces & nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Paul Borchers; daughter, Kathryn Borchers; & brother, Ronnie Lee Specht.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 17, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Ronald Mueller officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Trenton. Military Services will be conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
