Donald T. Ansberry, Sr., 88, of Trenton, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in North Vernon, Indiana on March 4, 1930 to parents Michael and Mary Elizabeth (Frecking) Ansberry.
Don worked as a social studies teacher for Middletown High School for 30 years, retiring in 1984. He managed the Walnut Grove Swim Club in Trenton for 19 years. Don was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
Mr. Ansberry is survived by his wife, Claire (Ogden) Ansberry; five children, Karen (Gary) Brown, Donald (Theresa) Ansberry Jr., Lynne (Shane) Swartz, Kevin (Karen) Ansberry & Amy (Bryan) Moon; grandchildren, Jenny, Jamie, Seth, Kelsey, Taylor, Nick, Zach, Noah, Evan, Sam, Eli, Zoe & Izzy; and great grandchildren, Ava & JJ. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, William Ansberry.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:00 am at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 222 Hamilton Ave., Trenton with Father Stephen Lattner, OSB as celebrant. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park with military honors conducted by the Franklin VFW Post #7596 Honor Guard.
