Donald 'Waterdogg' Back, Sr.

Donald G. “Waterdogg” Back, Sr., 56, of Middletown, died on March 2, 2007, at Kettering Medical Center. He was born in Middletown, on April 14, 1950 to parents Burnis Back and Rosa Dell (Isbel) Blair.

Mr. Back worked in BOF maintenance for AK Steel for 31½ years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Lincoln Lodge #693 F.&A.M., Antioch Shrine, and Scottish Rite.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Schwab) Back of Middletown; one daughter, Jamie (Phillip) Walker of Trenton; one son, Vito (Beth) Back of Middletown; three sisters, Janice Blair of Trenton, Christine (Bill) Phillips and Rosemary (Greg) Farlow, both of Carrollton, GA; two brothers, Mervin Back and Ronnie (Shirley) Back, both of Carrollton, GA; one very special grandson, his “Little Man”, Wyatt Walker; and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Darryl.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Pastor Greg Campbell officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
