Doris Carty

Doris Carty, 85, of Middletown, died Sunday, July 13, 2014, at her home. She was born in Corbin, Kentucky on October 6, 1928 to parents Charles Fairbanks and Mary Ellen (Black) Helton.

Doris worked for many years at the Water Refining Company.

Mrs. Carty is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Mike) Acra; brother, Douglas (Jeanie) Helton; sisters, Carolyn (Burt) Smith, Janice Kinman & Barbara Evans; as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving family & friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jefferson Carty; parents; and brothers, Alvin Helton, Clifton Helton, Larry Helton & Charles Helton.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Burt Smith and Reverend Benny Spencer officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
