Dorothy A. Schumacher, 83, of Middletown, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Chesterwood Village in West Chester. She was born in Cincinnati on October 29, 1929 to parents Gustave and Oda (Paul) Brodbeck.
Dorothy was a member of Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, where she sang with the choir and also she was a volunteer at Middletown Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Schumacher is survived by her sons, Paul (Marge) Schumacher, Mark (Kathy) Schumacher, Steve (Anita) Schumacher & Andy (Jennifer) Schumacher; daughters, Chris (Denis) Behm & Sue (Ron) Frazier; 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Schumacher; son, John Schumacher; parents; brother, Gustave Brodbeck; and sister, Betty Romanello.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 24, 2013 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father Robert J. Farrell as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
