Dorothy B Llafet

Dorothy B. “Dottie” Llafet, 94, of Monroe, died Monday, July 9, 2018, at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant. She was born in Quincy, Illinois on July 11, 1923 to parents Ira and Bernice (Waddington) Batchelder.

Dottie had many occupations over the years, but dedicated her time to making a loving home for her family and she loved to entertain friends. She enjoyed playing bridge, bird watching, spending time on the water either boating or fishing & traveling.

Mrs. Llafet is survived by her daughter, Linda (Jack) Griffin; son, Tom (Peggy) Snow; step daughter, Lisa Hickman; ten grandchildren, Tracy, Laura, Joren, Emily, Whitney, Lyndsay, Ryan, Samuel, Andrew & Natalie; twenty great grandchildren; and many, many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Llafet; parents; and sister, Jean Bullard.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at Mary H. Kittredge Chapel at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant, 225 Britton Lane, Monroe with Chaplain Karen Fleming officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the chapel. Interment will be at Ozark Chapel Cemetery in Missouri.
