Dorothy L. Nemcic

Dorothy L. Nemcic, 87, of Middletown, died Saturday, April 7, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Middletown on January 4, 1925 to parents Robert and Madge (Colwell) Centers.

Dorothy was a homemaker and worked at Armco Steel during World War II as a crane operator. She enjoyed bowling at Eastern Lanes, was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds & Xavier Basketball, was an avid reader, loved country music & cookies.

Mrs. Nemcic is survived by her sons, Frank Michael (Sue) Nemcic & John Alexander Nemcic; daughter, Cathy Lynn (Scott) Emley; five grandchildren, Sarah (Paul) Seibel, Rachael (Kiel) Fisher, Matt Nemcic, Aaron Nemcic & Alexis Pal; and two great grandchildren, Sasha Seibel & Noelle Fisher; and dear friend, Louise Neal.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Nemcic in 2000; infant daughter, Paula Nemcic; parents; & sister, Carolyn Abner.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Albert Malcolm & staff and to nurses Sherry, Mel, Erin, Loren, Erica & Jessica from Hospice of Dayton for their support & excellent care of mother. The family also wants to thank Dorothy's son John, daughter-in-law Sue and granddaughter, Alexis for allowing Dorothy to fulfill her wish to spend her time at home surrounded by her family.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Kenny Brewer officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 - 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
