Goforth, Dortha (Dottie) D.

Dortha D. Goforth, 79, of Middletown, died Friday, December 12, 2014, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Canel, Kentucky on April 18, 1935 to parents Arza and Lucinda (Spencer) Williams.

Dottie worked for 47 years at the Middletown Journal as supervisor in the composing room, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Crosspointe Church of Christ and volunteered for many years at Miller Ridge Elementary School.

Ms. Goforth is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Paul) Lawwill; sons, Jim (Pam) Goforth and Jeff Goforth; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many special nieces, nephews, close friends and extended family at Crosspointe Church of Christ.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Estil Collins, Ezra Collins and Billy Williams; sister, Dorma DeBord; former husband, James Goforth and daughter-in-law, Jodie Womack.

Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 15, 2014 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Crosspointe Church of Christ, 5630 Ohio 122, Middletown, Ohio 45005.
