Doug Smith

Doug Smith 75, of Monroe, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 8, 1946 to the late, Earl and Betty J. (Lloyd) Smith.

Doug had a love for agriculture and worked for Scott's for 30 years and also Anderson Inc., until he followed his passion and started his own business, Turf One. He had served his country in the National Guard.

Doug is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy (Burnside) Smith, and daughter, Stephanie Smith.

An open house to share fondest memories with the family will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Brown's Run Country Club, 6855 Sloebig Rd., Middletown. A Memorial Tribute will be delivered by family & friends at 6:00 pm.
