Douglas Gerard Jackson

Douglas Gerard Jackson, 38, died Saturday, July 3, 2004 at Kaiser Hospital in Hollywood, California. He was born June 1, 1966 in Rochester Hospital, Rochester, Pennsylvania, son of C. Robert Jackson and Pauline Derek Jackson.

Douglas was an artist and a free-lance writer with ambitions to become a screen writer within the movie and television industries. He graduated from Middletown High School in 1984 and from Miami University in Oxford in 1992. He was a member of Holy Family Parish.

In addition to his parents, Douglas is survived by two sisters, Paula Jackson of LaJolla, CA, and Diane (Gary) Helm of Hampstead, NC; three brothers, Patrick (Deborah) Jackson of Mission Viejo, CA, Michael G. Jackson, and Gary (Annie) Jackson, both of LaJolla, CA; two uncles, Jeff (Barbara) Derek and Dr. Richard B. (Roberta) Jackson; seven aunts, Rita Derek, Cassie Zvirblis, Cecelia Schikora, Jeanie Hile, Josie (Joe) Macey, Marie Joyce, and Colette Zeglin; four nieces, Jullian & Brittany Jackson, and Cate & Cori Helm; and numerous cousins.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, July 17, 2004 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish – Holy Trinity Church, with Father John Civille as celebrant.

The family asks that memorial donations be sent to the American Heart Association, Ohio Valley Affiliate, P.O. Box 182039 Dept. 013, Columbus, OH 43218-2039 – OR – American Cancer Society, Butler County Unit, 105 McKnight Dr., Middletown, OH 45044-4898 – OR – a charity of donor’s choice.
