Dr. Linden L. Meece

Dr. Linden L. "Tink" Meece, 87, of Middletown, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born in Lexington, Illinois on September 17, 1924 to parents Luther and Maude (Bishop) Meece.

Linden graduated from Ohio State Dental School and had a dental practice for 40 years, retiring in 1990. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Dr. Meece was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Men's group at church, Jefferson Lodge #90 F. & A.M., Antioch Shrine and was a founding board member of Hospice Care of Middletown as well as a volunteer with the organization. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed boating and loved to travel.

Dr. Meece is survived by his wife of 30 years, Norma (Milburn) Meece; son, Steven Meece; daughter, Susan (Craig) Little; step son, David Lesley (Teresa) Pugh; and grandchildren, Erik Grossnickle, Marc Grossnickle, Erin Meece, Davy Pugh & Rianna Robinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Phyllis Meece.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Christ United Methodist Church, 700 S. Marshall Rd., Middletown with Reverend Norman Coleman III officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at church. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
