Earl R. Simpson

Earl R. Simpson, 92, of Middletown, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Hospice Of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Highland County, Ohio on December 1, 1921 to parents Jasper Bruce and Helen (Doughman) Simpson.

Earl worked for Armco Steel Corp for over 30 years, retiring in 1983 as a supervisor in the sales, service & scheduling department. Before Armco he had worked at Aeronca. Earl was an avid car enthusiast and was an independent Goodyear Tire dealer, owning Earl Simpson Tire. He was a member of the C.A.R.E. and the Oldsmobile Club.

Mr. Simpson is survived by his daughter, Nancy (Sis) Simpson; son, David (Billie) Simpson; grandchildren, Josh (Sandra) Nerenberg, Jason (Kristen) Nerenberg, Jared (Anna) Nerenberg, Ryan (Chad) Rothermel, Rachel Simpson & J.B. Simpson; and great grandchildren, Brittney, Brendon, A.J., Cameron, Radical, Soloman, Brayden & Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Simpson in 2009; daughter, Linda Nerenberg in 2013; parents; brothers, Harley Simpson & Richard Simpson; and sister, Dorothy Kinnison.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
