Earnest D. Lyons

Earnest D. Lyons, 71, of Middletown, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at his residence. He was born in Middletown on April 9, 1939 to parents Wilbur Clay and Alice Susanne (Dean) Lyons.

Earnest worked for AVI Food Service for 43 years. He served his country in the United States Air Force.

Mr. Lyons is survived by his wife, Patricia (Rains) Lyons; three daughters, Mary Alice Marsh, Michelle (Robert Brooks) Lyons and Marcia Lyons; sisters, Emma Jane Forman and Betty Steele; close family friend, Sister Jean Sora; and eight grandchildren, Stacey, Kyle, Tyler, Kirsten, Sydney, Emilee, Sara & Aiden.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Peggy Lou Fitzgerald; and brother, Robert Lyons.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 10:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Father John Civille officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
