Edna Long Fall, 89, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away September 10, 2004, at NHC Healthcare, Hendersonville, TN. Mrs. Fall was a registered nurse and a graduate of Middletown Hospital School of Nursing. She was well known and respected in the medical community during her career and had worked as a private duty nurse at Middletown Hospital, as an industrial nurse at Sorg Paper Company, and for a short time at Garden Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Fall was a lifelong resident of Middletown until 1999 when declining health necessitated a move to Tennessee to be near family. She was a life member of the DAV, a member of the Elks Lodge 257 Socialites, and a member of the Blue Ball Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Fall is survived by her husband of 66 years, Walter “Bo” Fall of Gallatin, TN; a daughter, Dottie (Wayne) Metcalf of Gallatin, TN; a son, David (Linda) Fall of Oak Ridge, TN; four grandchildren, J.B. (Tammy) Metcalf of Franklin, OH, Jennifer Keil of Hendersonville, TN, Sara Fall and Chris Fall, of Oak Ridge, TN; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan & Louella Long; brothers, Alva & Edgar Long; and sisters, Thelma Deardoff and Betty Lisch.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown, with Wayne Metcalf officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 – 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Blue Ball Presbyterian Church, 6901 Roosevelt Ave, Franklin, Ohio 45005.
