Edward G. Lykins, 73, of Middletown, died Wednesday, November 5, 2003, at his residence. He was born in Jeff, Kentucky on May 18, 1930 to parents Earnest and Ona (Jones) Lykins.
Mr. Lykins worked as a sergeant with the Middletown Police Department for 10 years, and then as an attorney, retiring in the late 1980´s. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of Jefferson Lodge #90 F. & A.M. and the Antioch Shrine.
Edward is survived by his wife, Irene (Hocz) Lykins of Middletown; one sister, Betty Burton of Middletown; and one brother, Richard (Diane) Lykins of Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, James E. Lykins and Billy G. Lykins
Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 10, 2003 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr. with Reverend Susan Jones Thompson officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2-4 PM at the funeral home, with Masonic Services by Jefferson Lodge #90 at 3:30 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
