Eileen Downey

Eileen Downey, 89, of Trenton, died Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Bickford Assisted Living. She was born in Jacksonburg on September 19, 1927 to parents William and Margaret (Tewart) Specht.

Eileen had a great sense of humor and loved to tell jokes. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards.

Mrs. Downey is survived by her daughters, Donna (Saul) Banks & Roberta (Steve) Craycraft; brother, Robert Specht; sister, Janet Rowan; three grandchildren, Brandi (Jesse) Doty, Brian (Alicia) Craycraft & Sam Banks; four great grandchildren, Lauren & Ashley Doty and Hannah & Brooklyn Craycraft; as well as many other loving family & friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Downey in 2007; parents; and sister, Dorothy Kauffman.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 10:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Bella Care Hospice, 4350 Glendale Milford Rd., Suite 160-B, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242.
