Elinor J. Roberts

Elinor Pippert Roberts, 97, of Monroe, died Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on April 9, 1916 to parents Charles H. and Pearl (Connet) Pippert.

Elinor was an 86 year member of the First Baptist Church in Middletown, making her their oldest member. She had been a member of Middletown Regional Hospital Auxiliary, Phi Beta Si Sorority and the Shovel & Hoe Garden Club.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by her son, J. Steven (Donna) Roberts; daughters-in-law, Kathy Jones & Dordie Roberts; grandchildren, Miriam Roberts, Christian (Katie) Roberts, Meagan Roberts, Courtney Roberts & Scott Roberts; great grandchildren, Charles Roberts, Colin Roberts & Ellie Roberts; niece, Patti Gage; and nephews, Tom Boudinet & Mike Miller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Roberts; sons, Charles F. Roberts & Robert M. Roberts; parents; and sister, Ruth Boudinet.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 20, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Kenneth Fey officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
